Applications
Instarmac Permanent Pothole Repair® is a suitable solution for roads, pavements, driveways and parking lots. The product can be trafficked instantly in wet, freezing and hot conditions and at the same time is compatible with the existing road surface. Instarmac Permanent Pothole Repair® can be applied at depths up to 50mm. (Greater depths can be achieved by applying the layer-on-layer method).

Technical
Instarmac Permanent Pothole Repair® includes fully graded, high PSV interlocking aggregate and specially formulated bitumen and is supplied in recyclable 22.5kg/50lb containers.

Recommended Application
Pothole repairs can be achieved at any depth.
1. Ensure pothole is free of debris and standing water.
2. Apply Instarmac SCJ spray sealant to pothole edges.
3. Apply the product slightly proud of the pothole.
4. Compact with a hand tamper, or suitable mechanical alternative.

Storage
Store inside above 5°C/41°F.

Shelf Life
Shelf life in correct conditions for sealed goods is 6 months. Delivered on shrink wrapped pallets.

Handling Guidelines
Instarmac Permanent Pothole Repair® is manufactured and delivered within as short a time as possible to ensure fresh easy to lay material is supplied. It should be noted, if storage guidelines are not followed the material can appear stiff. By placing point load pressure on the bag, you will regain workability.

Instarmac Permanent Pothole Repair® works differently from most cold asphalt products on the market. Commonly these types of products are manufactured using flux oils so that when it is stockpiled the asphalt stays plyable and soft. The problem with this however, is that the asphalt remains plyable and soft when applied into a pothole.

This very often causes the repair to fail especially in areas that will receive regular braking or turning. Most of these traditional products are also manufactured using a single size aggregate which leaves voids, creating weaknesses in the repair.

Instarmac Permanent Pothole Repair®is manufactured using an innovative formulation that reacts under compaction. This, combined with intelligently graded aggregate, which interlocks and leaves no voids, ensures a durable repair that can be trafficked as soon as compaction is complete.

Unlike bulk asphalt which hardens very slowly, Instarmac Permanent Pothole Repair®’s rapid setting properties make it ideal for areas of turning, braking and heavy traffic. This not only prevents disruption to motorists and traffic flow but provides a long term, first time, permanent solution that avoids costly repeat visits to the same pothole.
